Hochstaufen in autumn
I went up the normal route from Padinger Alm leading to the the foot of the west ridge and then up it. A good trail with no difficulties. As always, when the weather is as glorious as that on a Sunday, there were literally hundreds of people on the mountain. I started at shortly before 11:00 a. m., arrived at the summit at 3:00 p. m. , started down at 4:30 p. m. and did the last bit of the forest in the pitch dark...
