Northeast Face Ski
Skinned up from Horseshoe Basin to the saddle with Red after skiing Red's east face. Ski descent from summit down north east face of Hoosier all the way to the car.

Hoosier Ridge
Kessler and I met four other 14ers.com members at Hoosier Pass and we all headed for Hooiser Ridge. We climbed all of the summits on the ridge. The last one was the highest. It was a bit breezy at times, but a beautiful New Years Day. Two of the group climbed Red Peak as well.

long undulating ridge
Long hike from Hoosier Pass, windy and still tons of snow - in snowshoes most of the way.
Yes, I agree with other complaints about the many bumps along the summit, it kept going and going.

Snow death march
I agree with Keifer-it was a very long hike. Started out fun, sunny and clear- but ended with crazy cold wind. My fun meter stopped working at the end. ;-)

Long Ridge Run
Won't be back up here. Hated this ridge. It went on FOREVER. Winds were typical. Good views of Quandary.

From Hoosier Pass
Sunny bluebird day, though winds kicked up around noon. It felt like we would never reach this summit, the ridge went on forever! We ate like teenagers afterward at Deb's cabin - ribs, veggies and dip, hot cocoa with peppermint Schnaaps, petite syrah, pumpkin pie, hummus and chips, Jarlsburg, Captain Morgan and apple cider, pears... Yeesh. With Kiefer and Deb!

Three Pointer
Okie and I got all 3 from Hoosier Pass. Left snowshoes near Pt 12,814 for the return. When I got back to my stash, they were gone. (Got 'em back.)
Well in keeping with the basketball theme on route names, I guess I did the "Free Throw" this morning. Just Hoosier Ridge for me today, got tired of fighting wind and decided it wasn't worth repeating the Reds in it! Also did repeats on 1/6/16 and 3/20/17 with Rachael.

End of March - But Still Winter
Cloudy with on and off graupel and snow flurries. Lower 500' required flotation (snowshoes). Broke trail; didn't look like anyone had been up in a long while. Wind clocked at 48 mph

Grassy ridge
It was not very enjoyable hike, like a rollercoaster but the views of Tenmile/Mosquitos and Front Ranges are amazing.

Hoosier Ridge and Red Mountain
Beautiful December day. Didn't even need a jacket most of the time! Traversed around Hoosier Ridge summit to the west and went up Red Mountain first, over Hoosier Ridge on the way back.

Hoosier Ridge & Red Peak
Hoosier Ridge & Red Peak from Hoosier Pass. Persistent wind and a few inches of fresh snow made this a big day. I’ll have to come back another time to get Red Mountain.

LaBoreas Loop
Had a great trip yesterday linking Bald Mountain with these 3 peaks. We parked down at Indiana Creek and had a perfect 10-hour day. We saw a herd of 40 big horn sheep on Red Mountain, reminding us why we are fighting to preserve these areas via the Hidden Gems Wilderness Campaign. Trip Report
