August 30, 2006 This was an impressive looking peak we could see on our way up to Matterhorn Peak's southeast slope. (Sierra Nevada)

the moon just left of the summit? Very nice shot.

It is...

Thank you! That is the moon. I saw that and had to take the photo.

I didn't know I could name a peak! :) It's along the same ridge as Twin Peaks, almost directly east of Horse Creek Pass on the 7.5' Dunderberg Peak quadrangle. There's a large (for the Sierra Nevada) glacier or snowfield to the peak's southeast.

I now know this peak is called Horse Creek Peak.
