Yes, it looked a bit dismal, but actually this was the most luxurious place in the whole Base Camp.
I took a short hike to the Hotel in order to make a cheap phone call home from its payphone.. It was great to be stand straight in there after being all those days in my tiny tent.

Re: Dismal Place..I agree. I found it a bit of a refuge myself, but it was still cold, dark and generally unpleasant. And the bathroom experience there was awful!
