Lots of

glaciated landforms; quite different
from the desert where I live. And,
where people whip past in their SUVs,
without any regard of the thousands of
years it took to carve this remarkable
and magnificient landscape of ice & rock.

Re: Lots of

no roads to this area! Currently, only way in is to fly to the Burnie Lake area, hike about 7 km to a trailhead that I helped to build that then takes you up to the glacier. And then you get to start the routes!

Re: Lots of

I'm jealous - must be nice to have an entire
glacier to play on! What's the difference
between 'scree' and 'talus?' We have talus
here in Arizona, but not sure about scree.
Awesome photo!!

Re: Lots of

I think the difference is size. Talus is larger rockier stuff and scree is the smaller marble like stuff.
