Re: I thoughtThere was a sign at the beginning of the fire road stating the forest is 'closed' but the gate was open. Also stopped at the Clear Creek ranger station and they said it was ok to hike to Josephine. By the way, it was friggen hot! CJ

Re: I thoughtIt was extremely hot, even in the Santa Monicas last weekend.
I don't know what the rangers are talking but according to the USFS map, Josephine is definitely in the Station fire recovery zone.
