Exploring ...
We were planning to climb Sur today, and Norte tomorrow, and had carried a bit of spare food to stay at Campo Dos longer, if we needed to.
Unfortunately, my climbing partner wasn't feeling good. Not quite acclimatized yet. At night, the wind was too strong anyway, so an alpine start was out of the question, but shortly after daybreak the wind seemed tolerable, and I decided to explore the route to Norte by myself. Some clouds threatened to hide the higher reaches of the mountain, but visibility stayed good enough until I was real close. No views on the summit, unfortunately, but still a fine climb.
