Huascaran Norte (left) and...
Huascaran Norte (left) and Sur (right) from Yungay cemetery. The town of Yungay was completely destroyed by an alluvion in 1970, when 18000 lost their lives. It had its origin in a massive rockslide from the E face of Huascaran norte and was triggered by an earthquake.
