Nice report!

I've climbed very little, long ago and nothing like this but your account was very interesting and well done. I always wondered about some of the details like what is on top of these pillars and enjoyed reading about your toil and troubles! Congrats on making it to the top and down safely!

Great climb!

David -- Sounds like you're having lots of fun. May see you later this summer if you join the usual suspects. Tom

great report

Great photos and a great report. Really felt the experience you went through with your writing, sounds like a blast. It really looks scary, even for a Canyonlands tower. Now thats a summit !

Re: great report

Thank you Mike. It was pretty scary, but the fact that it's a somewhat frequently done tower and most of the rotten rock has been cleaned made it a little less nerve racking.

Awesome

Stack climbing sure is exposed - not that I've done any. BTW, brings to mind "Totem Pole" the stack portrayed in the Clint Eastwood's "The Eiger Sanction". Beers on top. How does that ever remain standing. Madness !
