Cactus Jack is a fictional character, far removed from reality. If you were to come into contact with a cactus needle, you'd be able to fully understand what reality really is; unless you're numb to it. This picture includes THREE species of cacti. Can you name them ??? (1) Hedgehog in bloom.

(2) Prickly pear about ready to bloom.
(3) Staghorn cholla - all done blooming.
Here in central Arizona, Hedgehog is called the "Easter Cactus," because it typically blooms close to Easter Sunday. April 9, 2009

I had NOTHING to do with the blooming "magenta-coloured" hedgehog cactus.

It blooms every year (around Easter) in the
central part of AZ.

It's a sure sign that SUMMER is right around
the yonder corner, my friend !!! ; )))
