I'd forgotten about this...

I'd forgotten about this feature until I spotted it again on my trip in September 2003. This is the exposed ridge that peels off from Alum Cave Bluffs. You can see a large hole that has weathered straight through the rock. (Known as the "Keyhole" I've been told since first posting this image. Apparently there's another one farther down the ridge.)

keyholes.

There definitelyare two. Tennessee family pointed out the second , which at that time was a little disguised by a reddish bush.

Yes, I've spoken to people who have scrambled out to them. I think they're off limits now due to the nesting of raptors.
