I just wanted to point out that a month makes a big difference. When we hiked up Lost Horse Peak a month before you did, the cacti hadn't started blooming yet.
Thanks for your comment. Yes, it does make a big difference. There were many cacti with buds still, so I guess it will be good to see them bloom for the next few weeks. Cheers.
Thanks for your nice comment and vote. I am glad you liked it. It was a lot of fun writing and re-living it. If you ever have a chance, you should definitely visit the area. Cheers, Guido
Thanks. I am also always very interested in the local history of the area I am visiting. There usually is a great story behind the ruins or mines or whatever you are looking at. Cheers.
Thanks Liba for your comment and vote. My daughter is 12 and my son 11. I don't usually post pictures of them. They can do that later if they wish so. Cheers.

An escapade all can enjoy !A thrilling adventure which can be enjoyed by the whole family ! Apart from the scenery, the really fun part is uncovering the artifacts of history !
The exerpts from the song brought to mind my mother's insanity (Muguette DeschĂȘnes Hodgson) which was institutionalised in 1976 at the Albert PrĂ©vost institute in Montreal for becoming dilusional over Elvis Presley...

Delicious RegionThose arid and wild open spaces - just the thing for a brain reboot and return to sanity. On my list for next trip.
