Nice report

Your mud pics reminded me of when Bob Bolton and I got stuck fast in the mud in Idaho. We had to walk almost 20 miles before we got help but it is one of those occasions that you never forget and your respect for what mud can do is embedded deep in your memory banks. Ibapah is truly a real treasure and I'm glad you were able to make the trip and get the summit. Thanks for sharing your adventure. I hope to return some day and pick off Red Mountain.

Re: Nice report

Thanks for the kind words Dean. And thanks again for your advice on this hike. Red Mountain would be great, or camp up high and hit Red, Ibapah and Haystack all in the same day! Hope to see you somewhere in the Wasatch this summer.

Congrats upandaway

Very good trip report with excellent pics. My wife and I met you coming down from Raymond/Gobblers a few weeks ago in Butler Fork. You told us you had just climbed Ibapah and you were going to post a trip report. Nice job and sure do appreciate it. Hope to do this peak sometime in the future.
