ice axes and summit cairn, Otokomi Mountain
We used ice axes to ascend a snowy slope on the west face of Otokomi Mountain, whose summit cairn is visible here. The lofty peak just right of center is Little Chief Mountain, with a summit nearly 5,000 feet above St. Mary Lake. The snowy pyramid behind and to the right is Blackfoot Mountain, with its namesake glacier on the slopes below.
