Thanks Steve! Hey I just read your "insatiable appetite for the mountains" article. It was damn fine. Rock on. If you need some more 1/2 days out there read my "Dawn Patrol" article for mid-week fixes :-).
I've never done any ice climbing or even had the desire to but your article was enjoyable anyway. I could feel the cold and worry about the ice shattering right next to you guys! The pictures are beautiful! Be sure to get them up on SP so we can vote on them.
So, how many Borat quotes did you have to withstand during all that climbing with Dan?!?! Having roomed with the guy, I know that Borat is his preferred language...
Oh my god, so many. But I was cracking up every time! The Feast of Shurik is my favorite. Dan has an incredible memory for movie lines...really helps to distract from the cold!
Like always, reading your TR made me want to go out and drop the cash on ice gear and grab the next flight into the mountains. Thanks for posting and please put your pictures on SP so we can vote on them.
Thanks tons! Actually I very nearly bought new (used) ice tools yesterday in a frenzy. But a cooler head prevailed. Sigh! I will have to keep working on my WI4 on my vintage, heavy Black Prophets.
I'm like the only guy at the crag with such ancient tools. Oh well that is life! Before kids there was money to burn!
I won't post the pictures here, and that's okay with me that I can't get votes on them. The problem is that it's so time consuming to upload individual pictures...I can't justify it in the age of Flickr, with such easy bulk uploading!
I've asked the Elves about the pictures cuz it is a major pain. I think people would like to be able to see the pictures on SP. As for gear money, text books took all mine and then some. Boo school!
Yeah, somewhere we've got a feature request list with a bulk uploader, but it's kind of dead in the water. I've thought about making one myself, I'll bet it would be popular. Like a java or python gui application..
Post on the PnP forum. There are some computer gurus on there who might be interested. You know something is wrong when it's easier to put trip photos on facebook than SP.

Re: SameYour complaint inspired me. I'll put some fanfare around it before long and release it...but I've created a bulk uploader. I'm testing it now.
