Slammed in and out of Ruth and Icy in a day with a new team, and we successfully made the summit of Icy. Freeclimbed way up, and rapped down out of the gully just for funsies. Epic day, only thrown off a bit by how truly horrendous that death gully between Ruth and Icy is. What a mess.

Icy via Ruth Traverse out & back
Glaciated climb requirement through the Bellingham Mountaineers basic alpine course checked off with this one - our party of 7 camped on the other side of Ruth after summiting it on 7/7. Woke up and started hiking by a little after 4:30am, summit by around 9am with a double rope length rap from the summit block. Back to camp, back up and over Ruth, and back to parking lot by 6:30pm. Long, arduous - very worth it for the views of the Nooksack Cirque
