Idaho endurance effort

A 20 mile day. After hiking up Garns, this shot was taken at the 10 mile mark with me pointing at our next objective, Piney Peak, 4 miles away by trail. To check off Teton county, you need to pick up two peaks, Garns Mtn (9014')and Piney Peak (9016') The ups and downs of these two peaks plus the need to also do Red Butte, the highpoint of Madison county add up to 5000 feet of elevation gain to go with the 20 miles. A long day. I went with Adam Helman on this little adventure and we put in a good 12 hours to pull it off. 7-29-09
