Re: SWEET!Everyone should, the rime on Hood is a very unique climbing medium as far as the Continental U.S. goes. Not sure this is the hardest summit in the PNW, but there is definitely no walk up.

CoolIs that the West Gable you're tied into? This is surely different than climbing this "house of cards" in the summer time.

Re: CoolI'm not familiar with the colloquial landmarks on I-Rock, and don't have a copy of Oregon High in front of me, so can't confirm any names, sorry. This is taken from a prominent notch on the East side of the SW Ridge of I-Rock, just above the south end of the andesite columns. The rope's into a picket, the belay anchor was a couple pins and I think a rusty old bolt. I can't imagine climbing this mud pile in summer, or maybe I just don't want to.
