Tower Mountain from deep in the muck of Swamp Creek on August 17, 2003. Views of the peak are actually fairly hard to come by from that valley. However, I was being facetious about the muck. As an approach it's not that bad as long as you avoid the "swampy" areas.
The
West Gully Route goes up the gully left of center.
The
Southwest Gully Route goes up that lighter gray face-like feature right of center. It looks steep and forbidding from a distance but the angle is actually pretty laid back (35 degrees or so). Foreshortening over distance.
