Looks like parts ofKentucky and West Virginia- blasting ridge tops to get the coal. Back in June 1972, a segment of the east west interstate 70 was closed down for 24 hours in Ohio so that The giant coal extractor GEM 14 storey 7000 ton lobster looking affair could crawl across the 4 lane.

Re: Looks like parts ofThanks for that desainme, I was over in West Virginia and Kentucky 10 years ago climbing at the New and The Red, loved the place and the people, the hills have recovered since the mining closed down of what I saw anyhow ! I cannot imagine a 7000 tonne machine on our tiny roads here in North Wales.
