Vaguely winter
Lower meadow/bowl was littered with snowfields which made for difficult crossing. Was frozen in morning so limited postholing but midday sun thawed the crust. Snow on approach to summit had nice steps in it, group made it just fine. Descent was treacherous in the snow down from the summit, and then the lower meadow took an enormous amount of time to cross.

The title refers to the fact that a plane once made a emergency landing on Sherman.

Guilty PleasureAs a testiment to Iowa Gulch's ferocity ;) My uncle who lives in Costa Rica at sea level climbed it without much difficulty. Quick easy strut.
