Ipasha Peak, Ahern Glacier, Mount Merritt

Broadside view of the east face of Ipasha Peak (9572') with Ahern Glacier at left. This is a good illustration of how much water drains from even a small glacier, providing a steady flow during post-snowpack months. When the glaciers are gone, so will be a great deal of water! Mount Merritt (10004') is at right, with a shadowy Lithoid Cusp poking up between. Ahern Peak (8749'), namesake to the above-mentioned glacier, is further left, and out of the image. (There is an Ipasha Glacier, but it is on the other side of the mountain.)
