Iron concretions

wind-sorted iron concretions ("Moki marbles") that erode out of the Navajo sandstone. There are extensive beds of these on the plateau part of the route to point 5148'. They are too heavy for the wind to displace, but the sand grains blow away. Glen Canyon NRA, ARIZONA. October 2014.
