why is it legendary?I thought hard about going out on that ridge. It looked very appealing.

Just legendary to me.There are photographs of it in old National Geographic magazines from the 1930s. One famous photo has some young hotdog doing a handstand on the very top of the crag. I've always wondered where it was. I've since been told the true Peregrine Peak is actually above Alum Cave Bluffs. Not sure if I was above the bluffs when I took that photo, but I think I was.
