Re: Nice ShotThanks - I stepped around that little tree for quite a while to find the right angle. Unfortunately there was none since right underneath it a small gully opened. There was no way to get mountain and tree into the frame without over-accentuating one of them. The first shot was the best after all...

Re: Very very very good!Glad you like it. Actually I like the other picture better. Montasio should be just a little bit bigger in the background but there was a gully and I couldn't get farther away from the little tree. I took six shots and the two I posted are clearly the best ones

Re: Excellent picture!!!Thanks for your nice opinion. I would have liked the mountain to be a bit bigger

Very nice! The south face of this mountain is photographed every year thousands of times, but you found an unusual, very beautiful, point of view. My compliments! ( also for your friulano! )

Re: Very nice!I'm fluent in friulano, didn't you know? I just don't like to show off :-) Actually that's what guidebooks do to you. You get used to the way they write or spell the names. I could have used the German Montasch, which our guidebook mainly used but somehow the Italian / Friulan name sounds and looks a lot nicer. I specifically like the ô in Jôf. It simply looks nice :-)

Re: Very nice! That ^ accent gives strenth to the o, so Jof becomes like Jooof.
Ciao!

Great PicCongratulations to this fantastic picture. Which camera did you use?
Thanks, Guido

Re: Great PicThanks. I don't think it's the camera model that did it - more likely the pol filter. However colours really were that intense over a period of 4 or five days. There had been massive thunderstorms before and the air was simply crisp and clear.
