Jaro?

Is this the same place as the little peak between Namche Bazaar and Khunde? The one with the stupa on top and with all the boulders to climb over?

We climbed that one and I created a page for it, but there seems to be some confusion on the name. I was wondering if the one you climbed and are calling Jaro are the same thing. Here is the page:

Jaro Ri

Re: Jaro?

I will check it!
But at least there was no Stupa on top in 2009...

Re: Jaro?

Thanks. The stupa up on the peak we climbed looked really old.

After some digging, I found that there is a 3925 meter peak to the west of the one we climbed (on the west side of the monument/gate between Namche and Khunde-the peak we climbed was east.). I assume that this is the one you climbed and we actually did peak 3940, which is a different one. I guess there are two peaks referred to as Jaro and I'm not sure about the real name of the peak I added.

Nice photo though.

Re: Jaro?

Yes, i guess that's it:
on my map there is a peak without name with 3.925m in the west and an otherone with no labels at the east of the monument/gate between Namche and Khunde.
Next to the one on my picture it says 'Govt. Yak Farm'. So I change the name from 'Jaro Peak' to 'Jaro Ri West'!?
Or: 'Jaro Govt. Yak Farm Peak' :)
