Tell me about it! And, because I've had a fascia injury for the last few months, I did this in LOW TOPS! The good news is, I've been hiking and climbing since May in low tops, so I've built some serious strength in my ankles. Nonetheless, my ankles still get pretty banged up in this type of terrain!

anklesGlad you are recovering well, Sarah.
I have always been a bit concerned about turning/twisting an ankle, so, at the advice of my GT guide, I am doing some balancing deal where you balance on one foot for a minute at a time-seems to be helping already with ankle strength and flexibility.
