Johannisberg, Hohe Riffl and Vorderer Bärenkopf

Seen from high on the Fuscherkarkopf. In front is the Wasserfallwinkel glacier, in the back, from left to right, are the Johannisberg, Hohe Riffl and Vorderer Bärenkopf. If you look good, you can see the Oberwalderhütte on the Großer Burgstall, which was originally a rock island, but due to glacier retreat it's no island anymore. However, the normal route to the hut still crosses the Wasserfallwinkel. Fortunately, late in season there is often not much snow cover, and while there are plenty of crevasses, roping up is not necessary then because you can easily see them.
