Just lost a friend in Canmore...

Just lost a friend in Canmore yesterday June 5, 2005 to a grizzly attack (extemely uncommon of course). I took a photo of this fresh grizzly scat on my approach to Mt. Aylmer. This is what it looks like, considerably different than a black bears.

Scat!

That looks just like the pile we came across on our way out of the southern approach to Assiniboine. It wasn't there the day before and I really hoped he didn't smell the cooler we had left in our car. Luckily, he didn't. I've seen lots of black bear scat before and it is definitely different.
