The ocean colors from Ka Lae to Papakolea were fascinating, and an interesting juxtaposition with the barren lavascape.
Not a peak, but my wife and I went here in February 1995. We also hiked to the nearby Green Sand Beach.
One of the first places we checked out upon our arrival in Hawaii. Very windy and the waves are spectacular.
