Thanks for sharing this new route! As you mentioned, the last part of the route after you had to turn back seems to be a rather gentle slope, as it appears in this picture taken from the summit (ascended via the normal route).
There may be one section where it drops steeply in the west. I have to compare photos from different angles. Looking from Jietanzhouma, it seemed like one part of the ridge could be a choice of walking on the cornice or climb on very steep ground. I couldn't see what it really looked like as the snow drift blocked the vision completely most of the time in the end.
I have to go back one day and check it out :-)
