The Team: In summer of 2010 from 24 July, 2010 to 23 August, 2010 we manage to make a group of five people for Karakoram Great Traverse. Mr. Massimo Meroni begin_of_the_skype_highlighting end_of_the_skype_highlighting from Italy was the leader of this trekking group. The other people join the team was Nicola Vallani from Italy, Paul Ronald Well from Australia, Ms. Megan Lee Cole from Australia and Barry Speight from Ireland.The itinerary
The actual Karakoram Great Traverse goes all the way from Hushe to Nagar Valley over the Hispar Pass. We modify this program and started from Askole and first explore Biafo and Snow Lake and returning by the same route we move to Baltoro Glacier and after exploring and attempting Postore Peak near Concordia we finish our trek in Hushe Valley.The day by day plan;
July 24 arrival in Islamabad, trek briefing with Alpine Club of Pakistan, night in Guest house.
July 25 Fly to Skardu, if flight cancel due to bad weather, same day drive by road to Besham or chilas depending on the road journey, night in hotel.
July 26 Rest day in Skardu for organizing. If flight cancel on July 25 this day will be use to make the remaining journey from Besham or Chilas to Skardu. Night in Masherbrum hotel.
July 27 Skardu to Askole by jeep, overnight tents.
July 28 Askole to Mango, night in tent.
July 29 Mango to Baintha night in tent.
July 30 Baintha to Simgang night in tent.
July 31 Simgang to Snow Lake night in tent.
Aug 01 Rest day night in tent
Aug 02 Snow Lake to Simgang
Aug 03 Simgang to Baintha
Aug 04 Baintha to Mango
Aug 05 Mango to Korophong
Aug 06 Korophong to Piaju
Aug 07 Piaju to Urdokas
Aug 08 Urdokas to Goro
Aug 09 Goro to Concordia
Aug 10 concordia rest day
Aug 11Concordia to Pastore Peak base camp
Aug 12 Climb Pastore Peak and back to K2 Base camp

Aug 17 Ali camp to Khuspang camp

Aug 20 Siacho to Hushe
Aug 21 Hushe to Skardu
Aug 22 Skardu to Islamabad by air if possible.
Aug 23 Islamabad emergency day in case flight does not operate
Aug 24 De-briefing at Alpine Club of Pakistan. Free day
Aug 25 Fly back.
