Kayakers Heading to the Potomac River

Great Falls October 2, 2010 Kayakers on their way to put in the river and enjoy the good runs found after the recent rains. Hikers, bikers, walkers, all enjoying the Billy Goat Trail and other hikes in this area along the towpath of the historic Chesapeake and Ohio Canal, completed in 1850 after 22 years of work and mishap, and operated for 73 years between Georgetown and Cumberland, MD.
