Kings Canyon Wall with Tree

This picture was taken while hiking just after entering into King's Canyon along a steep area where the river came rushing down. I like it because of the trees in the near vertical wall. You see trees all the time where you have to marvel that they can grow so large among rocks with apparently little soil, and this is an example of where the growth just seems so improbable. (I am not sure the topo is accurate--I am just using it to set to Kings Canyon National Park.)
