Nice morning hike
With Lunadog. Camped at DeRoux Campground about 20 feet from the trailhead. Started up about 6:15 am and summited about 8:30 am. Nice trail, no issues. Great views.

Bagged this summit as summit number 2/10 in a contest put on by Sahaptin Outfitters out of Cle Elum. Arrived to the TH after an early work day, and had the trail to myself. No snow until a couple hundred feet below the Koppen/De Roux saddle. Lost the trail at times beyond the saddle; had to kick steps up a sheer 15 foot vertical wall to gain the ridge towards the summit. The summit proper was dry; signed the register. I did meet one guy who came up after me who remarked he thought my steps up the snow wall were nuts until he too couldn't find a way around, then he followed my steps. Nice!
Views were gorgeous; I had planned on bagging De Roux also, but as I got started very late, I didn't have the time. Next time...

Done with DeRoux
Made it after throwing my back out on first attempt.
Went up with my girlfriend and a close friend of mine. Gorgeous views of the Stuart Range, Mt Daniel, and the Cascade Crest. Lots of butterflies on the summit.

Koppen Mountain
Climbed with Eastking. A great destination/short hike when the I-90 corridor is shadowed in rain.
I did this with a foursome of good friends. Our original plan was Esmeralda but with a forecast of snow and high winds we opted for this. There was snow from the start with a foot and a half of fresh snow near the top. The winds stayed calm and we even had a few sunbreaks on and near the summmit. A great day!

Via Johnson Creek/Medra Pass
Four tricky creek crossings down low, though none was too deep. Patchy snow started just below Medra Pass, making routefinding a little challenging at times. Amazing views from the peak!
