Krn from Matajur
This picture beautifully shows the situation on Krn. On the right some high walls are guarding accesses to the eastern side of the massif. The long southern slope, so beautiful for skiing and hiking up is also nicely seen. From the western side the approaches go over the meadows on the passes south of the summit, the steep western wall hosts only ferratas and harder climbs. February 8th, 2010.
