L'Aiguille Verte et Les Dru
Close up of L'Aiguille Verte (left) and Les Dru (right). The enormous grey patch on the right side of Les Dru is, of course, where that 800m tall x 100m thick block fell off... impressive. After being shocked by a ~60-80 cubic metre rockfall two days earlier above the Mer de Glace, I can't imagine what seeing this 'rockfall' would have been like. Taken from Les Crochues (July 2007).
