Needs to be a list

I have heard other comments on this page, but it clearly is a list. These are different peaks, and all part of the La Sal range. So it should be a list.

Yep

^^^ What he said. This is not a mountain page. Should be converted to a list. Is easy to do...

Origin of Laurel Peak Name

The unofficial name of Laurel Peak was given to this unnamed summit during the summer of 1979 when my husband, Mark Yates, (who later died in the Gold Basin Avalanche of 1992) his cousin, Chuck Glymph, Chuck’s wife, Laurel Glymph, and myself hiked to the summit. As this was the first time Laurel had hiked to the top of any mountain, Mark (who loved “naming” unnamed landmarks!) dubbed it Laurel Peak. I was delighted to see that the name stuck and is still being called Laurel Peak to this day!

Re: Origin of Laurel Peak Name

That is a great story. I am going to make some updates to the page and will add the information.
