Ladybug Picnic

Millions of ladybugs covered the rocks at Stevens Peak. If anyone can explain this phenomenon please let me know.

Ladybugs go dormant in the winter, so they often are among the first insects to appear in the spring. They gather into groups and move to higher land to converge, I guess. If anyone knows more please let me know.
