The rocky Lagginhorn is one of the easiest fourthousanders in the Alps. The normal route, WSW ridge(and it's variant,which is marked in the photo)is a PD difficulty, and it is mainly rocky. In contrast, the neighbouring Weissmies is very glaciated. An interesting route on the latter one is the SSE ridge, which begins from the Almageller hut, and mostly rock climbing.
