Ask your buddy Eric Noel. He made me privy to that particular prominence/peakbagging term. I had never heard of it prior to summiting Anderson Mountain several weeks ago. But Larch Mountain appears to be an example where the term can be used.
Dominance is just dumbinance to me. I'll "have a little talk" with Eric. And to think he has a degree in English. :)
A measure of a peak's ratio of prominence to elevation does not shout "dominance" to me. A high percantage of P/E doesn't equate to any sort of dominance. Although I agree the P/E value should have a name, "dominance" is too much of a stretch.

Dominance?Who made up that word for that measure? It sounds dumb to me. Is it just because it rhymes with prominence? What is the mountain dominating?
