Trampas-N.Truchas

Thanks for this very helpful page that allowed us to have a wonderful hike.
Minor remarks:
- Reaching the ridge from Trampas Lakes is really no big deal.(We went west straighter to the open space and then north straight on).Still it was very good to have the sketch.
- It is really worth going up to N. Truchas Peak (a long day).
The only substantial difficulty seemed to me to be the headwall
seen on picture 4, very close to the top. We did not find obvious to see how to go, although once the solution was found, it was easy and safe (our solution: a short chimney up, followed by a short less steep chimney east, et voila...)

Re: Trampas-N.Truchas

Thanks, glad you had a good time! However, I don't recall saying anywhere that reaching the ridge is a big deal, though it may have seemed a little less obvious when I did it in snow by headlamp.

From your description, it sounds like you probably found the same route up the headwall that I did.
