Made a 12.5 mile trek through the park, visiting Las Trampas Peak, Rocky Ridge high point and Vail Peak.
Nice hike with the wife on an unseasonably cold day.
Had 1 hour to spare before a lunch meeting so I went up Las Trampas Peak - started just short of the gated community on Las Trampas Road, nice trail led up to the road above the gate which then ultimately connected me to the Las Trampas Wilderness. Lucky it all worked out, I had not planned to hike today but used the TOPO map from the Peakbagger App which got me up and down just fine. RT was 1:03, with 4.6 miles and 1,200 feet of gain. Lots of running to set that pace. TR is HERE.
A short three hour hike with Steve on a heavily overcast day. Trip Report.
And back via Bollinger Canyon. Also several times in the 90's.
