Last camp site in Switzerland

Before leaving Switzerland, Mark and I camped one last night, on the lower slopes of the Gornergrat, near the Gorner Glacier. It was flat, quiet and there was water, and right outside where the magnificent Walliser Alps. What more could one ask for? The next day we would hike for a couple of hours, take a train and a taxi shuttle to where Mark had parked his car and drive 5 hours, only that to end up less than 20 km away from here, in Alagna, on the other side of Monte Rosa. Short of a helicopter ride, that was the fastest way to get there. 3 July 2013.
