Judaean Desert
... is a rocky desert just west of Dead Sea. It consists of multy-level terraces cut by deep canyons. The riverbeds in the canyons are dry for most of the year.
Tze'elim Stream
... cut a long, deep, and beautiful canyon, which is a popular hiking destination in Israel. The trail is not easy (some sections are T3 in Swiss grade) but definitely worth it.
