The first 3 1/2 miles of the Lee Ridge Trail are densley forested, and aside from a glimpse of Cheif Mountain's north face through the trees, views are essentially nonexistent. However, once the trail leaves the forest and spills out onto Lee Ridge, everything changes. Lee Ridge is incredibly wide and sits higher than a lot of the surrounding terrain, and hence affords unobstructed views in every direction.
