Lee Vining Canyon - no snow

9-December-2006: no snow in Lee Vining Canyon on the approach on Saturday - basically frozen streambed and boulders / talus. In past years the approach has been more like this around this time. We ran some laps over on Chouinard's with Doug (in foreground) during the morning & early afternoon. The following day (Sunday) it snowed about a foot. We decided not to risk broken ankles / legs on the approach and went to do something else instead.
