Legendary walls in evening light

Lomnický štít (2632 m) on the right and Pyšný štít (2621 m) on the left in evening light. Seen from Priečne saddle (2352 m). Saddle, despite being on hiking trail, was still under 2 m snow cover and some skialpinists skied it down. West walls of those summits are visible. Especially west wall of Lomnický štít played a legendary role in High Tatras' climbing. Dozens of tough routes lead there. The 30 meters long roof on the west wall of Pyšný štít was first climbed only in 2004. The date of the photo: 20th june 2008
