Bizarre Rock!

That stuff looks pretty interesting, with all of those ripples. Is that typical of this area?

This is from afar (instead of a clos-up photo), but if you look closely, much of the rock has similar texture.

yeah, much of sandstone around Moab looks smooth, flowing kinda, and "ripply". Though I think this exact texture/color I only saw along the River Road walls. This does not include stuff in CAstle Valley (Castleton, Priest etc...) or Canyonlands I think.
