Lightning in the Mojave Desert
Please excuse the poor lighting. I was trying out my new camera to see if I could catch a lightning strike. It looks a little better at full size.
The photo here was taken from the summit of Double Mountain looking southeast. It was pretty cool watching the storm from a distance, and the nearby fires it started.
The red lights in the foreground are part of Edwards Air Force Base.
